HOPE Community Health Worker |
|
| The HOPE Community Health Workers are local employees, who receive ongoing training in all medical and social aspects of HIV and AIDS as well as life skills training. They all have completed a UNISA (University of South Africa) course on "Caring and Councelling" regarding HIV and AIDS and received the respective UNISA diploma. The HOPE Community Health Worker are based at the "Primary Health Care Facilities", the so called Day Clinics, and connected to the local grass-root projects, which are also supported by HOPE Cape Town. By clicking on the interactive map you can find more specific information about the work of each HOPE Community Health Worker. A new window will open with all the information. One HOPE Community Health worker is assigned to support the work in the ITHEMBA ward. |
